I have been writing songs about stars and nights. I wrote them almost as if I was writing a letter to my late mother.

My mother was an avid David Bowie fan and even named me after him. On the night Bowie passed away five years ago, the night looked so bright as if a new star had been born in the sky. This song “Black Star” was written to and in admiration of Bowie.

Everyone has their own goals and dreams to try to be someone. I hope that you enjoy this song in light of your struggles.
